“The one way the Left can regain relevance in the future is if the present administration, or its spiritual successors, are dumb enough to start a war. The only time the Left ever appeals to young people has been as an anti-war movement.”

“X has proved invaluable in the election but it is built upon a Faustian Pact, everyone now sees ‘esoteric right’ content beamed onto their feed and the rightists themselves now live in a bubble.

“I advise everyone to make the best use of ‘The Second Thaw’ to achieve practical financial independence and/or robust political networks from which to wage opposition.”

– J’accuse, November 2024.

“I write this article to try and dissuade the tendency, driven by social media debate, to totalise every single issue…. it appears many are unable to defend President Trump at this time without claiming the entire issue of elite blackmail rings is nugatory. This, in our view, is a mistake.”

– J’accuse, July 2025.

“Zionism is, objectively, ‘unpopular populism’ it is a fringe, online, American import to our political culture with absolutely zero relevance to most British people.”

– J’accuse, November 2023 (n.b at this date, people who sometimes decide to have a pop at us with the ‘Jewish’ routine were posting Lion images over the destruction of Gaza: my position on this issue has been absolutely consistent, at mild professional cost)

Nothing said about the midterms is interesting. There was no ‘historic shift’, elections no longer work as a barometer for public opinion and the moment the new Democrat administrations in Texas et al reveal themselves to be continuity candidates there will be an equally ‘historic’ shift back to Red team. The Democrats will aggressively redistrict anywhere they have the power to do that in, they won’t “go after Elon”: SpaceX, Palantir and Anduril are all integral parts of the U.S military industrial complex and won’t be nationalised. People like Nick Shirley and the DOGEbros, who touched the one thing Democrats truly care about, the ability to steal taxpayers money, should look into flights to Buenos Aires; nobody in the GOP or its associated sphere of influencers will be touched. Xdotcom has turned out to be a great asset for the Democrats and Musk will be allowed to keep it. The Left did not win due to ‘Chud fatigue’ it won because it could quote tweet Chuds with Chud memes (‘goyim’, ‘Epstein’) over Chud issues (Israel). Within less than a month, lumberjacks are going to start calling all anime girls ‘Malfoid’ and all complaints by young men ‘Anakinposting.’ Anyone trying to obfuscate the very simple reasons for the GOP defeat with ‘huh guess like those nutters aren’t popular with the median voter!’ is stupid and should be bullied but who on x is left to bully them?

The first thing of importance to note is the changing Culture of the Left. We are not dealing with millennial cum town fans who start freaking out if you send them a pair of anime boobies. The youngest tip of the Left has grown up in a culture we forged, they understand it, they aren’t phased by it, they don’t tell you to have a normal one: they correctly intuit that one section of the Right is anime ultraviolence but the much bigger section is old people writing 10,000 page longposts on x about “social trust” and they can exploit it to make both sides seem ridiculous. Right-wing spaces are less distinct than they were even in 2024. It used to be in a left-wing space you would notice everyone was 6-10 years older, you’d legitimately get banned for slurs while RW spaces were universally male and largely White Anglosphere + Slavic World + Japan. RW spaces are now majority, or approaching majority, third world. A diminishing number of people in these places seem to cultivate academic, pop cultural or artistic interests outside of chronicling the lore of a community they joined last year. The result is that the young people moving towards right-wing content are broadly apathetic and just want to post memes, while you have to consciously go looking for Left-wing content which attracts a cleverer cohort of under-20s.
