Reform U.K has never been better. The “incompetent staffers” are now being Barraged by the Farage in public. J’accuse told Zia Yusuf to call for Tony Blair’s arrest precisely one year ago and behold, this is now what Zia Yusuf is doing (article now free). Let this serve as proof J’accuse needs no puff pieces from client hacks or ‘funding’ to be the single most influential organ on the British right. J’accuse pieces you read today will become the talking points of tomorrow. J’accuse never loses. It is comical, comical that my enemies still think they can do anything to resist me. Every waking moment of their lives is just a series of fat custard-filled pies, travelling through the air at supersonic speeds, to smack into their insalubrious faces while the world laughs at them. I see everything they do. I transform myself into a Bat and fly into their bedrooms. I paralyse them with the venom of a thousand scorpions. I assume the aspect of the Mantis shrimp. Every day, a little dwarf polishes the bronze bell of victory in the city of the King, preparing for The Day of the Incompetent Staffers. Every day, the stout watchmen of the city walls blow into their horns, as the gates open on caravanserais guarded by murderous Kipchaks, bearing tribute from the West: priceless silk pillows, rare diamonds. In the forges beneath the royal palace, an army of Goblins is hard at work, building the secret weapon.
The fact that even meme candidates like Ramaswamy are drawing even with the Democraps is a sign that x is still a bubble: it is just a bubble for people who collect sports cards and watch “Breaking Bad” instead of people who collect Funko Pops and watch Stephen Colbert. Influencers, Content and Memes will always fail before the might of The Grand Old Party. Similarly, the wave of dooming about Reform, which has, to their great embarrassment, even affected people on side, is totally hallucinatory and shows how easy it is to spook the Right. The deep issues causing this are very real, yes but I am confident the party is hard at work fixing them and, when this happens, it will be neigh invincible.
Consider the analogy of the stock market, when a hitherto unknown stock starts doing well, it appreciates rapidly in value because people are finding out about it, this appreciation has nothing to do with its future performance: even future safe stores of value like GOOG or SpaceX had an initial moon period. Polling is totally irrelevant as a predictive tool and cannot map its concepts onto a basic theory of mind. Reform’s initial polling success was the ‘moon’ period in which people simply learnt, for the first time, what the party was and, since they hated all other parties, said they’d vote Reform. The reasons for Reform’s fall in support are all easily identifiable and none of them reflect any mood-change about the party’s policies or leadership. Bad social media has meant the party has struggled to attract the sort of relevance it needs as a future government and Restore (downstream of bad social media) are sitting on between 3 and 7% of Farage’s vote.
It is worth re-stating the J’accuse Fund house philosophy for electoral success. All democratic regimes in the 21st century suffer inherent incumbency bias because Democracy doesn’t work. ‘Ordinary people’ do not have political opinions of any sort beyond a vague leaning towards the underdog and even vaguer desire for someone to ‘sort everything out.’ You ‘win’ by abolishing Democracy and anything short of this means you will lose. Qed: Reform becoming the third party would be, in itself, a splendid victory. You will immediately see public opinion go back to 2024: like Keir, like Boris, the “big stonking majority” of whomsoever forms the government of that Parliament will prove itself totally untranslatable into sustained public support because elections no longer measure anything. The only reasonable causes for concern is if the ruling class try to start a war, or if Farage decides to resign.
I predict Reform will successfully adopt a strategy of quietism, only publicising victories, not policies or pledges, over the next seven months and start rapidly gaining in the polls as social media recovers from its leadership drought. The problem with the mainstream, even if they are capable of pulling off impressive heists like the Restore shakedown, is that they cannot help believing their propaganda. They simply won’t be able to stop themselves from trying to “sell” Kemi properly to the public, or pretend that Andy Burnham is winning because people like him. The moment you start seeing ‘politics is basically back to normal, to be fair’ posts is the moment in which you know Reform will be back to landslide proportions by 2027. Keep in mind, it is in Burnham’s interest for Reform to survive and since left-wing people will, genuinely, believe ‘Reform is collapsing’ he will probably panic and the legal terrorism against Farage will be put on pause.
